Memorialize Dr. Robert Brooks with an interpretive sign at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center

As a founding member of the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center Advisory Committee, Rob volunteered thousands of hours and assisted with Nature Center planning and development. A unique, natural feature of Millbrook Marsh is the calcareous fen, however, public access is prohibited to protect the sensitive plant species growing in that area. In 2016, Rob designed and constructed (with assistance from PSU OPP) a model fen, the first of its kind, at Millbrook Marsh to create additional wetland habitat and be a teaching tool for program attendees. By contributing to this memorial gift, you can help share Rob's work and passion for wetland education with thousands of future visitors to Millbrook Marsh.

The Brooks family and the Department of Geography will host a celebration of Rob's life at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 12, at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. All are welcome to attend and are asked to RSVP here by June 7, 2022. Visit the Penn State Geography website for more information.
